HEALING MOCEAN MASSAGE
RESTORATIVE MASSAGE THERAPY

About me

🌊 Healing Mocean specializes in prenatal, medical, and restorative massage.

Helping clients manage symptoms that are nuanced and unique to each individual. I offer quality sessions that are therapeutic and compassionate.

Conveniently located on Main Street in Port Jefferson, NY.

Monique Zodda,  LMT- owner of Healing Mocean Massage is an alumni of NY College of Health Professions.

Registered and licensed in New York State, nationally certified, and board certified advanced prenatal massage therapist.

Soon to be trained in myofascial ashiatsu.

This style of work is a modern massage approach to barefoot massage where the Licensed Massage Therapist is specifically using their feet to slowly glide along the skin, addressing muscles and interconnected layers of fascia throughout the body. Additional focused tracks of training help the practitioner to specialize in different niches – offering theories and protocols that use a myofascial massage approach but also add in a deep relaxation vibe, a sports massage vibe, or even a more clinical style for pain/injury rehabilitation.

Throughout my professional career I have worked with women throughout different stages of pregnancy, athletes for preventive and maintenance, mental health & stress relief for anxiety, depression, autoimmune conditions,  repetitive stress injuries, relaxation massage and more.

Healing Mocean Massage is:

Preventative & proactive wellness for different stages of life

Medical massage with prescription from doctor

Complimentary treatment with other forms of healthcare especially acupuncture

Supportive during pregnancy

Management for anxiety or depression

Harmony for the whole being

In general massage therapy:

  • Brings balance to the nervous system and is a form of pain management
  • Gradually restores movement and function
  • Physically soothing and restorative
  • Helps to develop a sense of Self
  • Is unique to each individual

Our nervous system responds to events either from emotional or physical origins. This may cause the body to develop pain, guarding patterns to compensate, restricted movement, or muscle weakness that results in decreased function.

Massage can decrease stress and lessen frustration, irritability, helplessness, anxiety, or symptoms of depression. Massage is also helpful to manage physical symptoms such as headaches, muscle stiffness, sciatica, arthritis,  etc...

I encourage my clients to continue the healing process at home by embracing patterns of mindful movement and self-care for best results.
